On account of 77th Independence Day a quiz competition “SAT – PARINAMA -23” was organised on the topic called ‘ India’s rise from colonial clutches to 5th largest Economy’ in MVJ Pre University College, Channasandra, Bengaluru on 14th August 2023. The competition was conducted to encourage students to gain general knowledge, apart from subject knowledge.
The program began with the words of Mr. Balakrishna Aliveli, Principal of MVJ Pre University College, who encouraged the participants.
The quiz competition was conducted in 4 four rounds. They are :
- General Round
- Audio Visual Round
- Rapid Fire
- Buzzer Round
The first round was General Round. 2 questions were asked to each team in this round. This round was hosted by Mr. Mohan S L, Department of Commerce.
The second round was Audio – Visual Round. In this round 2 questions were asked to each team with 2 hints. Mrs Latha Shankar., Department of Chemistry hosted this round.
The third round was Rapid Fire. 10 questions were asked to each team to answer within 60 seconds. This round was hosted by Sree Hari ., Department of Statistics.
The final round was Buzzer Round. 10 questions were asked in this round with negative marks and the team who raised the hand first, was asked to answer. This round was hosted by Mrs. Shruti., Department of Biology.
The event was concluded by the announcement of results. Ahimsa Team bagged the 1st position and Thiranga Team bagged the 2nd position.
