The MVJ Cultural Carnival, Samskritotsavam – 2023, was commemorated with tremendous enthusiasm at MVJ Pre University College, Channasandra, Bengaluru on the 13th of November 2023. The event was meticulously organized to foster cultural engagement among students.
Diverse cultural activities, including Rangoli, Cooking without Fire, Drawing and Painting, Best out of Waste, Collage Making, Goodudeepa Making (in celebration of Diwali), Face Painting, Reel Making, and Best Photography, were featured in the program. Commencing with the Rangoli competition, the event concluded with the Goodudeepa making contest.
Student participation was marked by a high degree of enthusiasm, as they showcased their latent talents with zeal. The morning saw the college adorned with vibrant Rangoli designs created by the students. The highlight of the occasion was the “Cooking without Fire” segment, where students skillfully prepared a variety of delectable dishes without resorting to conventional cooking methods.
The drawing competition, themed “Indian Culture and Heritage,” witnessed substantial student involvement, with Mr. Shivaprasad. M., a renowned artist, presiding as the judge. Collages were crafted by students on the theme “Indian Heritage, Culture, UNESCO Sites, and Monuments,” demonstrating their artistic capabilities. Students also actively participated in the “Best Out of Waste” competition, alongside Goodudeepa making and face painting to showcase their diverse talents.
The students were further encouraged to capture the essence of different events through photography and create a reel encapsulating “Soul namma Bengaluru” as integral components of the cultural carnival. Mr. Balakrishna Aliveli, the Principal of MVJ PUC, and all the lecturers provided steadfast encouragement, contributing to the overall success of the event. The coordination efforts of Mrs. Mallika K. R. and Mr. Shree Hari were instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of the program.
The cultural carnival proved to be a resounding success, providing a significant platform for students to exhibit their talents. The participants, as well as the audience, thoroughly enjoyed the event, leaving with cherished memories of a culturally enriching experience.
